A pinkish letter day…
OUR FURNITURE FINALLY ARRIVED!! YEY!!!
It’s here at last. Our long lost furniture. Actually it’s more like stuff than furniture. There’s hardly any furniture per se, just plenty of boxes.
It arrived at 8am in a humongous container on the back of a truck. We had to go around and knock on everyones’s doors to get them all to move their cars from around the back before the truck blocked the driveway and made it impossible for them to leave for work. Then the guys backed up and started unloading (sweating too) while I ticked it all off the list.
In the process one of the guys broke the door off my fish tank cabinet (down!), but it looks repariable. If I can’t do it I’ll just claim it on insurance (I mean, that’s why you get insurance isn’t it?).
As for the computer, I went to see the guy yesterday and he’s like, “What would you like on it?” and I reply “Well, this that, usb port, outlook, fat stats apps, windows xp or 98 etc… etc…” and he goes “Ok”. It was like walking into a store and spending $5000 without actually having to spend it. Sweet!
So, seeing as that part was so easy, I dare to ask “How long do you think that’ll take, 2 days, a week, 2 weeks…?” and he says “Maybe this afternoon”.
Well, he didn’t do it yesterday but I went to bug him before and he’s made a start, so maybe Monday. It’s a pentium III (yes count them, 3) which is cool and it has a CD drive so we’re already better off than the piece of shite that they gave me before.
So there you go, not too bad.
Also, I’ve had an invitation to shoot photos for the JCU rock climbing club’s “special portfolio”. They’re planning a trip to some cool places at Easter so that could work out really well.
