Lance, here I come!
Mr Armstrong better have his wits about him in the lead up to the next Tour De France.
That is if he hasn’t retired, the old slow bastard! Because there’s a new rider on the scene.
That’s right Mr Tom Rayner, on his free red bike is making a come back. Well, sort of…
Yesterday I took up the challenge of riding to uni on a regular basis. I worked at home in the morning and then decided to do a dry run by heading out to the internet cafe near uni in the late afternoon for a couple of hours of Counter-Strike fun - just to make sure that I didn’t die on the first day I tried it and ended up late for classes.
I made good time on the first leg, covering the ~12km (just a guess) in a little over 35 minutes. But, whilst gaming it up I pretty much sat still for two hours doing nothing. So, by the time I was ready to head back I’d frozen.
The return ride was henious. My legs were like jelly and my lungs hurt. On top of that there was about a 10 knot heat-wind just owning me.
I got home sweaty and sore and now my arse hurts bad. It’s o.k. though because today I drove in air-conditioned-4WD-comfort. Ha!
