Nagging will get you…
…further than doing nothing. After nagging, personality kicks in. And after that someone told me it’s blow jobs.
It seems my nagging Richard (my supervisor) has finally got me somewhere. He’s used his HOS power to move a computer that “will be completely adequate” into my office “for general use”.
How’s the conditions? Firstly ‘completely adequate’ sounds like ‘really not too good’ and ‘for general use’ sounds like someone is going to come and change my screensaver. either that or you can’t do work on it, just use it to generally sit on, prop things up etc…
It’s so tempting, but probably career limiting, to suggest, “Why don’t you work on mine and I’ll take yours?” and see how quickly it gets replaced.
Anyway, we’ll see how we go.
