Science and fish…
Yo.
I haven’t updated for a while, but not because there’s been nothing to report.
In fact, heaps has been going on.
I went up to Cairns last Friday, having been in hospital on the wednesday, driving a total of 752k. Obviously I’m very tired.
That fatigue is not helped by the fact that I went out last night to celebrate my good health and relieve a bit of the stress that’s been building up.
It was cool, but Zoe is cross at me for not looking after myself. She’s right of course.
I’me heading out next week for a pilot study at my study sites. The aim is to check to make sure that all the methods work and that we can answer the questions that we want to ask in the main study itself.
I got my honours paper knocked back from the Transactions of the American Fisheries Society last week. It was pretty disapointing but I agreed with most of what they said. Which was basically that the study sites were too far apart for me to be able to separate the local from the regional factors.
It’s frustrating because I feel as though I know what’s going on that the sites but the data doesn’t back it up
I guess my interpretation could be wrong but… that can’t be it ![]()
Oh well, today I’m feeling very tired and sore.
Here are some more photos that I’ve taken recently.
Science and fish…. That’s all anyone wants to talk about at the moment.
