Back online - sort of
Well it’s been a big week following a bigger weekend.
Mum visited last weekend. She arrived on the friday morning, giving me a chance to show her around campus and North Ward (the suburb where we live), before we picked up Zoe from work and headed out to dinner. It was great to catch up with her after so long.
On the saturday we spent the morning shopping around for a new house, given that our current place it really too small. It sucked. We ended up totally stressed out and fuming at each other and the situation. I was, of course, very restrained 
That afternoon we headed over to Magnetic Island. We hired a moke and mum drove us around the island, checking out the bays, going for a swim and then off to the pub for a quiet ale.
We left the pub about 10 mins before the ferry back to mainland. This left us enough time to rush back, drop the moke off and jump on the ferry. It wasn’t.
We went back to the pub.
On sunday morning we headed up to Paluma (a little village in the rainforest 1 hr to the north). It was really nice up there, really misty and plenty of birds. On the way up we stopped off at the Crytsal Ck bridge.
As we were leaving some random philipinos stopped in. One of the old women got out her ghetto blaster, walked down to the tranquil pool under the bridge and BLASTED some cheesy rock out. WTF!!!!We lost it, laughed so hard!!
We stayed the night at Andi’s place (a lady at uni) and headed back to Townsville on monday morning.
All-in-all a pretty cool weekend!!
