New Camera

My Nikon Coolpix 5000 is in the Nikon hospital, waiting for parts to arrive from Japan. So, in the meantime I went and bought myself a new camera. It’s an old-school Olympus Trip 35, which is essentially the ancestor of the modern digital point and shoot models that you see now-a-days.

It’s got a metal body, incorporated light meter with automatic aperture adjustment for exposure, four focus modes and a hot-shoe for mounting any flash you can lay you hands on. It’s in mint condition (even with the original ‘passed’ label) and only set me back 50-odd dollars. Sweet!

Zoe’s actually already got one of these, but I was using her’s a fair bit so decided to get one of my own before I dropped her’s off the side of a boat or something.

There’s even a Yahoo group for Olympus Trip owners. Haha!

I joined of course :) Geek!

In other news, my confirmation seminar is coming along nicely and Guy will be up to for a conference over the weekend.
