Yes. It’s true. Sydney is nicer that Townsville. I know it could be hard to believe, but…
The main reasons seem to be:
1. There are beaches with clear blue water that you can swin in in summer;
2. Sometimes there are even waves;
3. Things are not covered in dust; and
4. There are more of my friends here.
However, it also sucks in terms of:
1. Traffic. There’s a lot, although people here are better drivers;
2. The people seem slightly more apathetic, although better educated (which is frustrating); and
3. There are more things on (not that you necessarily go to any of them).
I think this conclusion is also associated with the fact that I’m on HOLIDAYS!! yey! which is so fun and relaxing and good. We’re so much more relaxed than when we started off in Townsville.
Also, Zoe got offered another job (while we were waiting in the boarding lounge at Townsville airport). It’s also in the Council, but over in the marketing department (a level of pay abover what she’s getting now. Some time in the near future she’s going to have to make up her mind about where she is headed.
