lots of work to do

It has just become apparent to me how much work I have to do over the next few months. I had a meeting with Richard this morning. We decided that it would be best to go ahead with another sample of the Mulgrave in a month or so, to track any changes to the fish fauna that might result from th e flood that went through about a month ago. This means there’s plenty of fish and invertebrates to process before then *eek*.

In other news, Zoe and I had a pretty cruisy weekend. Apart from playing baseball and then going out with the team afterwards until 3:30am on Sunday morning. I’m getting way too old to party-hearty like I used to do. We also made the obligatory trip to the markets on Sunday (very hung) and then went down to Alligator Ck in the afternoon for a nice swim in the algae :)
Zoe’s stuff is going ok. She’s got a class test later this week and an essay to hand in. She seems to be enjoying herself, but is kinda tired from working at the Council so much. She was saying that people keep praising her, “you’re doing such a fantastic job”.. etc… which is great. She was saying it was so surprising to get praise, after Susan (her last boss) was so bad at it :)
Anyway, have to get off and tutor botany to the kids.
