I flew from Townsville to Sydney today, but… Virgin Blue sent my freaking wetsuit and surfboard to Christchurch!

Update: They had to run out and get the board off the plane as it was getting ready to take off for Christchurch. Luckily they got to it in time and were able to have it couriered (at their expense) to my parent’s place in time for our 3:30am surf mission the following morning.

We drove up to Port Stephens and were in the water by 6:30am. The swell was up and the surf was pretty much pumping! A nice few barrells were floating around. Good news, as I only get to surf about 4 days per year.
