A-rip-sham-micon!
We’ve just returned from a big weekend in Cairns. Amanda, our friend from Sydney and the Bay, has been visiting for the last week or so. We started out in Townsville, but had to move the festivities to Cairns as I had a conference to attend. The conference was just the School of Tropical Biology yearly chin-wag. Everyone gets up and does a short (10min) presentation on their work. There were some pretty good talks, and I was lucky enough to pick up the ‘Best Student Presentation’ award. So that was cool. Zoe and Amanda headed out to the reef with TUSA on Sunday. Here’s some photos. The last one is of a Cane fire that we saw on the way home.

Tom, you need a hyperlink from the postgrad students list just like Michelle Boyle, Samantha Fox, Joanne Isaac, Brenda McDonald, Euan Ritchie, Leonie Valentine and Yvette Williams. Or is it restricted to chicky babes? ( I can’t tell whether Euan is a chicky babe)
