I’m in Cairns, attending the “Healthy Country-Healthy Reef” conference. It’s been ok so far, although this is only the first day and I’ve spent the afternoon napping it up rather than attending the workshop sessions. They aren’t exactly the most stimulating affairs and I find that students tend to take little away other than the message that “we need to work together”.

I’m presenting my poster this afternoon. There’s a $500 cash prize for the best one. I’m hoping but not holding my breath. My poster which goes beyond the conventional text-in-boxes approach hasn’t been successful in its last two outings… I’ll keep you ‘posted’

Also, Zoe sits her first exam this afternoon. Sociology at 5:45pm. Think smart thoughts for her! GO ZOE! Woot!

Speaking of ‘w00t’ Counter-Strike Source is out. It’s fresh, get gaming everyone.
