2004 has been a very big year. Much has changed, but much remains the same.
For us the major positives to take from 2004 are:
a) the settling down of our professional lives: Zoe’s job situation is much better than last year (she is getting more involved and is obviously much respected amongst her colleagues); my project [...]
Been surfing dad’s mal up in the bay. V. nice.
The whole time was spent analysing if we would/could move back there. The jury is still out.
Went out on Imagine etc… it was cool. xmas soon - I hope Santa is nice to me this year

Today we’re heading up to Port Stephens to have a little visit and a whinge about how ‘everything’s changed, I can’t believe they built that there… etc…’. Should be fun. Yay! we’re in Sydney! its soooo cool, like, as in not life-drainingly hot and wet. Tom has gone surfing, gone gaming, gone drinking, driven around in Pete’s stinky car and yelled “SHAKA KHAN!” through the “loud speaker” to passers by. Surfing (i.e. waveriding) is fun. So far I’ve been for two surfs, both on the northern beaches. Despite a lack of good sand banks and poor tides, we’ve managed to claim a few waves. Some kook dropped in on me, but I guess you have to expect that from a complete wanker!
