Straight back into it in Townsville. It’s hot, wet and oh, so good. That’s what some people say anyway….

As for me, I’m at uni right now, trying to maximise my output before the Holiday Enthusiasm Effect (HEE) runs out. So far so good.

I had to replace my car battery upon our return; that was nice. Not like I didn’t spend enough money while we were away. Speaking of money, we were greeted by some nice electricity, phone and phone bills. Sweet. We also received one of those ‘notice to remedy breach’ letters from our land-lady for being behind in our rent. Cool.

The house was nice and clean when we got back, and Kausy (the guy from my bball team who’d looked after the place) had even left a 6pack of beer in the fridge-e-poos.

Meanwhile it’s raining up in the Mulgrave in preparation for my return to the field and, of course, the surf is pumping in Sydney

The barra season opens on the 1st of Feb, so I’ll have to get tying some flies to catch one this season. Here’s hoping.

For those of you positioned north of the Tropic of Capricorn, here’s a little something to look out for: Zoe and I are going to have a bit of a part-ae to celebrate our birthdays. Check it.
