Tomorrow
Tomorrow is my birthday. If tomorrow isn’t your birthday - then it sucks to be you, Ha!
The 8th of February is also apparently the birthday of James Dean. According to the BBC website, these things happened on the 8th of February during history:
1952: New Queen proclaimed for UK
Princess Elizabeth has formally proclaimed herself Queen and Head of the Commonwealth and Defender of the Faith.1994: Police probe MP’s suspicious death
Forensic scientists are investigating the “suspicious circumstances” of the death of Conservative MP for Eastleigh Stephen Milligan.1962: Eight die in Paris riot
At least eight people have been killed during a demonstration in the French capital protesting against the independence of Algeria.1983: Sharon quits after massacre inquiry
Ariel Sharon is removed from office in the Israeli government following a tribunal into the 1982 killings of hundreds of people in two refugee camps.1974: Americans end outer space marathon
Three US astronauts return safely to Earth after a record-breaking stay in space.
Not too fantastically interesting, and not a mention of me. Maybe one day there will be…
1980: Thomas S Rayner born
Eminent flyfisherman and Nobel laureate (freshwater fisheries ecology, 2009), Thomas S Rayner born, in small town of Hemel Heampstead, England. Prof. Rayner died in 2064 from head injuries sustained during an altercation with an undergraduate marine biology student.

“He was such a nice fellow, Professor Rayner. Always ready for a chat and a laugh and a fine drinker too. But if you got on his bad side you would know about it very quickly. Yes he sure had a temper, that was probably his undoing. Even at 84 years old still picking fights, at least he went down swinging.” Quote from eulogy by King Rowe of The People’s Democratic Republic of The Buddawangs (1980-2071)
