To infinity and beyond!

Dad is 60 today. That’s beyond infinity I think!

In other news,

1. I just finished my last fish dissection! The last fish (#1914) was an introduced fish, a Tilapia. Ironic really. This means that there are now only 160-odd invertebrate samples to sort. 204 stable isotope samples to prepare and 100 000 words to write between now and 1 February 2006, when my money runs out. Bring it!

2. Zoe completed her first exam yesterday, with one to follow on Wednesday.

3. Jodi and I had our paper accepted to the New Zealand Journal of Marine and Freshwater Research (the Australian version of the journal was too cool and said it was “beyond the remit of the journal to publish this work”, or something along those lines). She’s now off to Africa to present at a conference.

4. Tony and I managed to get aboard a data paper for the Ecological Society of America’s Journal called Ecology, which is also good news.

Tom. By my reckoning you need to write 375.94 words per day until 1/02/06. Can’t be that hard :)
