Hinchinbrook slideshow

Seeing as one of my mottos is, “Driving the tax dollar further”, here is a slideshow that I made this morning.

Small men need not apply details our adventures on Hinchinbrook Island and includes several sketchy rock jumps, some fishing shots and many pics of the domination of Mt Bowen.

    That is awesome.

Sooo damn good. Thanks mate, I’m glad my tax dollars are funding the advancement of the Australian film industry. I would, however appreciate some royalties for my pics though, and appearance fees too. Maybe $4015 might cover it? You could just transfer it to my account.

You ‘just’ provide me with an invoice, and i’ll ‘just’ transfer the funds!

Did you like the Vast track where I zoomed in on you guys as the hard rock-out part starts? That was my favourite - and then the contrast, relief song afterwards? ahahha

Yes, very nice. I’m not sure how many of those final day shots were actually from the final day though?! I think you used a few blow-ins there. I tried to copy you as I’ve got some software to do similar things at home but it takes time to create genius like that. I haven’t sent your CD yet but I will - you can expect it some time next week. Perhaps some “Arrrrrr” speech bubbles wouldn’t have gone astray though, or maybe even some more voice over to really let people feel the vibe of the summit of Bowen.

  5. tom says:

most of them were from the last day - just a couple of forest ring-ins that didn’t fit into the soundtrack for the zoe bay day.

yes, genius is an important element

more voice over would’ve been ok, but I didn’t record any on the trip. it would be cool to have a digital voice recorder too - ’cause it works really well during intro sections - especially over still shots.

if people really want to feel the vibe of the summit of Bowen, maybe they should start walking ;)

domination is spending 3 days relaxing on waterfalls during the day and drinking port at night and getting paid for it.
subordination is getting 2 ticks when noone else got any.

  7. timtim says:

i think that that fails to fall into the domination category but we will have to consult the tome that will be a guest slot on domination. You seem to get all the tasty tropical parasites and diseases, I’m not jealous at all.

  8. Kath says:

Your slide show is SO dominant that it totally owned my computer at work by crashing it, resulting in the loss of about three hours of work - saving more frequently would have been dominant…

However, having viewed the show last night on a decent computer i can now say that i wish i was there… it looks awesome.

  9. lock says:

So… Jodi… I don’t want to be rude… but all this talk of domination reminds me of a time when a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, young undergrad came hiking in the Budawangs way back in the day when jumpers were wool, packs were canvas and noone knew what an epirb was. She owned her way up the climb to the Cooyoyo Creek Saddle where we were to spend the night, only to sleep-in while the rest of the group DOMINATED the castle under the pink glow of a rising sun.

    Hmmm, just a thought.

    hahha
    point
HOWEVER. I remember the day that you and timtim were able to stay up past 11pm and not nap under blankie-poos at a gathering one might call a party.
I agree I was once subordinate, but I have grown to become a dominant adventurer (hehe). I’d have to say that I’ve spent a considerable time in the hideous (but stunning) out-doors, climbing up river banks on tree roots and climbing waterfalls… almost 5 solid months, day in day out…while you take a break from your sedentary life for a brief flash of dominance…
    Sooo.. the point?
It’s better to move up on the dominance scale than down it.
    ;)

  11. tom says:

there’s a scale now? this is getting very technical!

  12. lock says:

    The officialy endorsed IMDC scale:

    Subordination Domination… Lock
    sleep-in and not dominate
    port-a-loo alley
    freakin’ mexicans
    1979
    write 100000 words by xmas
    tully extremists
    own Bowen
    Fed. Peak ‘06

  13. lock says:

forget that last comment - the formatting stuffed up and is consequently meaningless and completely undominant.

  14. tom says:

i think we get the idea. but, if you’re putting the port-a-loo alley up there in the subordination category - frankly, i’m dissapointed ;)

  15. dunc says:

    yes yes fucking fat.
I’ll have to attempt something similar with my indo pics

  16. timtim says:

    will you small man?…hmmm
