IMD gets off to dominant start
The call to arms has been rather surprisingly accepted and, although it’s early days yet, it looks like we’re on our way to a succesful inaugural IMD.
Several dominant acts have taken place:
1. Tim, Heather, Lach and Lance won mixed team category of the Race for Jace. Lachlan then went on to claim the front page photo at www.pixelpics.com.au In a humble email claims, “I’m so hot right now”.
2. A certain person, who shall remain nameless, got laid. In doing so, breaks a family curse of only having one sexual partner for life.
3. Zoe has been given responsibility of Townsville VP60 event to be held in two weeks - open budget, own car, work mobile etc…
4. I rode up Castle Hill on my single speed bike that timtim gave to me last night. This is basically like riding a BMX up a fat, sustained hill. Those of you familiar with the hill will be able to appreciate this.
5. Zoe’s colleague works for about 48hrs straight and then dumps lame boyfriend.
6. I posted some more surfing photos from an undisclosed location in the broadband content area…
I’m sure there are more examples out there, but people need to get online and spread the love.

And in yet another act of modest domination. Lock jumps on his bike (and high horse) and proceeds to ride 91km on Saturday afternoon. No roadie, no peloton, no domestiques, just me, waving the IMD flag high and getting on with the job.

Good show Lach, up for a day of riding this weekend too?! I, unfortnately have to report my lack of dominance for the past weekend. I lost all 4 Paper Scissor Rock (best of 3) contests to Lance and had to settle for seconding or leading climbs after I had already seen them done. The only act of dominance I had was to head up a climb with a danger rating (lots of loose rocks) because I spotted some booty from the ground. 2 wired nuts, a long quick draw and a snap gate later and I was about $55 better off! sweet, nothing better than free gear!

Yawn, yawn… it’s getting lonely at the top of Domination Mountain here as last Saturday I clocked over an even bigger 101km this time, all before breakfast. Sunday morning rolled around and that saw Timtim and I casually roll around the Yarramundi track for 30-odd km while there was a club race going on. We tried not to get in the way but when you’re riding almost as fast as the leaders it just makes their blood boil! So next weekend TT and I are tackling the final 8h enduro race in the NSW series as a pairs team under the banner of ‘Representing IMD’. Stay tuned for the results next week.
