Top 10 isn’t bad; I mean, they only stated that they were going to ‘tackle’ the event, not dominate it.
Maybe you guys should’ve gone in the Pairs Female category; With your 10 laps in 8:02:41, you would’ve won!

As much as I hate to say it we did not dominate anywhere near as hard as promised or as wished.. we instead dominated for a couple of warm up laps on Sat arvo then hit up the local bottleO for the necessary refreshments for the evenings activities (danger bells ring when riding with couriers) of eating chinese food whilst watching the footy and drinking many tasty beers and some people may or may not have been chuffing on a mysterious green herb. Perfect preparation… hmm more when we have photos to stick on.

“over-tapered”? We trained hard right up until the last. Those couriers seem to train the muscles to deal with dehydration, train the lungs to gasp for oxygen, and train the heart to pump so hard those clogged arteries get cleaned right out. Now I know why they’re so damn fast! They’re in training every night!
No really, (if you want to believe it) we were actually in 6th place all day until we stopped and had a long conversation before Timtim went out on his last lap. Little did we know those few minutes would make all the difference! Top 10 though… dominant!
