Charismatic megafauna -
you get all the love

I went to Stanley Park and the Vancouver Aquarium today. The Charismatic Megafauna was getting all the love - as usual.

beluga

I was a little weary from my efforts last night - I went out on the town with a bunch of randoms. I was on the way home from UBC, where I’d been doing some work, and the bus went past a field where people were playing some casual softball. I jumped off, wandered up and said, “Hi, I’m Tom from Australia” (like I’m the only one). They invited me back to a BBQ and we went out afterwards. Fun-o-times.

I have put up some recent photos - nothing spectacular at all - in the Canada photo gallery. Hopefully some more visually entertaining things will happen in the next few days - not to mention my fantastic talk tomorrow at UBC.

i was one wacked mofo, glad you liked it. i’ll post one of fat surf in hawaii if i see any. going to be too early for any huge swells - but should be something about.

Tomo, I can’t get the video because my ISP block’s video downloads! If you zip it up like Small Men then it’s all good and I’ll be able to check out your domination of Grouse Mtn.

if you’re lucky i might be able to do that while i’m in hawaii. zipping things and so on is a bit of a pain in airport waiting ‘lounges’…

p.s. i just want to stay in vancouver for the winter and go snowboarding every weekend. before it snow though, there’s the rest of fall to hit up the mountain biking trails to the north. so phatness.
