The inaugural IMD Roadshow
Today, the first of September, heralds a new era for tomandzoe.com. Not only does today mark the first day in the countdown to IMDII, it also signals the beginning of a month of travel for myself. On the 7th I head to Sydney, on the 8th to Alaska, on the 16th to Vancouver, on the 21st to Hawaii, before heading back to Sydney on the 27-29th for Andy and Bob’s wedding at the start of October.
Oh, did I mention that they catch large fish in Alaska?
And surf large waves in Hawaii?

If you catch large fish, I understand it’s a requirement to have a dirty sanchez mo (see fish boy in red).
However it seems a touch more appealing than getting pitched at 25-30ft Wiamea.

The guy in the middle caught the biggest fish, ’cause he’s in camo.
and the guy getting pitched actually has a mo - you can’t make it out in the photo, but it floated up on the beach with his bloated corpse after the shot was taken.

Someone has to earn the $ I suppose, so it might as well be Zoe. Tom is too busy electrocuting fish, making portable stove grenades and sleeping about in hammock shanty towns to be contributing to the greater good of the commonwealth.
