hi northern dudes, thanks for the birthday wishes. i had a great time. a bunhc of friends came over and we had some cake. i had to kick them out early though, because i had to go to bed.

i like your mad experiment ideas. in fact, some of them i've already tried (2 & 4). i also just tried the magnet trick, but even our strongest one (a kangaroo thermometer) wouldn't stick. any tips?

is it cold up there at the moment?

Hi Tom,

Seems like you got an early birthday present - your life! Dad's just been talking to YLD about it all. Maybe you should invest in a satellite phone or stop doing these crazy stunts.

Comment from U Dave: Glad to hear you're still alive to celebrate your 26th - many, many happy returns and love from us all to you, and zoe of course. Get well soon.

PS.

Possible mad experiments for the future:

1. Testing how your metal leg reacts to microwaves
2. White water rafting in a tyre (but that would just be stupid)
3. Bungee jumping with a home-made bungee made from brace elastic
4. Crocodile-goading.
5. Trying to ride in a kangaroo's pouch.

Dad says now you can put fridge magnets on your leg. There's a bright side to everything!

Yes, that is my actual x-ray. It'll be fun to see what airport security make of it...

Also, you know you've been sick when your tongue looks like this...

Here's my drink-holder crutch

Now on the mend, happy birthday to me (note the cut-up Columbia shirt in the foreground, that's the one they cut off me in the Hospital).

Oh, and while he was here YLD caught a fish (a Cooktown Salmon)
