Climate change continues
Talk of climate change, and our response, continues today, with the announcement here in The Australian that Canberra will direct talks aimed at establishing a global carbon credit trading scheme.
In almost the same breath, there’s talk of the imminent opening of the Three Gorges Dam in China. A wonderful day for the Yangtze (not).
Closer to home, Peter Beatie is still pushing for the Mary River dam, despite major concerns.
