Strategies for filling in time on your last day of work

Today is my last day of work, it should have been yesterday. I had finished everything that I needed to get completed on Wednesday and since then I have been searching for things to fill in my time without asking for more work. Guaranteed if I had asked I would have been given or asked to do some rediculously pointless task in a completely inefficient way (like I did this morning).

Por Exemplo this morning I was asked to take the silly little drill rig (a dingo for the afficionados ) and weigh it, which is fine, but I was asked to do it in the stupidest way possible. On my last day I am not going to stand for stupid tasks which require me to do a lot more fluffing around than necessary. I solved this problem by borrowing a fork lift from a neighbour (they have a little balance on them) lifting up the dingo, weighing it, then putting it back. Presto 10 mins later I’m done and I have not even left the office.

So back to filling in time. This is a good way .. but it is also not such a good way when no one passes comment. Has your site become passe or mundane Tomo. Has the winter chilled us to our very creative souls (or soles)? Where are our northern hemispherical friends now that they are thawing out? Where is our German foreign correspondant reporting on the drunk tourists and the spectacle that is the world cup?

I digress, ways to fill in time??….

Heh Tom, good to hear from you after a long time of passive background!!

Brasil is coming closer, even if they haven’t been in their best form, Australia was really good. Good on you South Korea and Itali, which i watched with my italien friends in Mönchengladbach, with a real german bbq with some real german sausages. Its summer-time…..summer-time in the northern hemisphere!

Live from the WM 2006 in Germany, juhu!!!!

Australia are the hardest team to support. Their performance against Brasil was the best I’ve ever seen them play, but they still couldn’t finish. Marco Bressiano, in particular, couldn’t finish his dinner (as was the case against Japan). Harry Kewell missed a sitter, and several other opportunities were squandered. Still, to even get those chances against Brasil is damn good in itself.

Brasil looked really out of touch (apart from the first five minutes of the second half). Ronaldo missed shots he would’ve normally got etc…

    They need Matty Bowen :)

The Brazillians I know are considering supporting Aust. as they think that the Brazil team has had to many hash brownies. Maybe they layed off at half time for the game agianst Australia.
