What Wall?
There will certainly be no hitting of the wall (figuratively at least) for one (unknowing) IMD participant…
At work, Kath has been organising simpler methods for people with disabilities to vote from the next state election onwards. As part of this, she has been meeting with many people from representative bodies for people with disability such as the Spastic Centre, Cerebral Palsy, and Vision Australia. These people have been consulted and are training the Polling Place Managers in the new aids for disabled voters.
One such person is Nick. He has been 100% blind since age 7 and ran one such training session last week. Kath reports that, by way of introduction, Nick asked everyone to simply say their first names in rapid fire in the order they were sitting in the room. ‘Gary, Sally, James, Brian, Sue…’ etc, etc, for 30 people. For the next 2 hours, when any one of the 30 people spoke or answered questions, he was able to say “Thanks for that Sue” or “good point Brian” simply from memorising the tone of their voice when saying their first name. THAT is dominant.

Kath then had coffee with Nick before this week’s training session and discovered that he ran the City to Surf, a major achievement even with a running partner in front pushing the walkers out of the way and warning him of pesky median strips and prams (as is the case in the C2S). Not content to leave it at that, he is training for the New York Marathon in November (pictured above), which he has actually run TWICE before. As part of his training he is going for a multi-day snow-shoeing expedition in the Snowies in a couple of weeks and then heads to South America to trek some obscene distance at some crazy altitude over several weeks.
Who’s hitting what wall?
Note: This is posted on behalf of Kath, who can’t get T&Z at work any more because it’s been blocked, quite un-dominant.

I thought that my domination was slowly on the increase, however that makes me realise that I’m the molehill, people like Nick are the mountain.
Speaking of people named Nick and the C2S, we still yet to know if the team Dominators singlet carried Nick Clark to a PB? Umm…. Report? Post? Nick?
