Dilapidated

In many trades you get to see the good and bad of mankind - fish biology is no exception. While the Mongarlowe River might represent the good, Cooks River represents the bad. In a word, it’s fucked (and that’s not too strong a work). Here’s a few shots from our ‘habitat’ assessment. In the first one, Izzy is plotting the location of a matress, no doubt an important component of overhead cover from predation for Mullet. The second shows the volume of pollution in the system, while the third shows an example of the ugly-ass boats that are moored in the river mouth.
