To the 80’s and Back Again
last night (well, it’s officially Sunday now, so the night before last) was the CommDevt Xmas Party. This year we went to Casey’s Deli, and the night was themed: 80’s. wow. tragic. There were some fucking awesome outfits, and I was surprised by my willingness to gear up, since I was there the first time around. But we found some bright plastic earrings and scrunchies and didn’t look back…
After dinner and drinks, the last of us stumbled on to the nearest watering hole; Sovereign Pub - the Ville’s only gay bar. There SanSan and Damian picked out 80’s music on the ‘dancefloor jukebox’ and we all busted out our best 80’s moves (yep, I dislocated my knee again). This morning (ok, after I got up at 11.30am) feeling a bit worse for wear, Joelle, San and I downloaded photos from all of our cameras and rolled around laughing at how bad we all looked. See?
In other news Friday was my last day of work for 06 and I leave for Sydney at 8.50am today.. after swinging by the Ho Bros to pick up the mangos, Kiki II is dropping me at the ‘International Airport’ and I’m on my way! hello beach! The Wet will arrive while I’m gone…

bejeweled vs bedazzler
i have been doing some research into the “bedazzler” tom & his school boy friends used to bling up their 80’s outfits… according to http://www.mybedazzler.com they are “back again and its the fashion craze of this season” hmmm i’m not convinced.
when i see paris & nicole with bedazzler machine replacing the dogs hanging out of their massive hangbags, then i will believe the above statement…
til then tom i suggest you have a go at the bejeweled game, there is no glue involved at all!

thanks Kiki, thanks Mazia, so deal is: tom has ‘moved’ to NSW, working temporarily, and working out what next (applying for rad post-docs etc) we will know if we move everything (and me) down, or what the deal is, in the next month or so.. I am in sydney on hols, then back to the ville to work and sort things out till we get further info on postdocs etc. will keep all updated!!
