Le Tour with teeth
Thank God tonight is a rest day, that’s all I can say. Last night Rasmussen blew apart the main field, while the descents claimed Michael Rogers (whose tyre rolled off its rim) and Stuart O’Grady, leaving Cadel Evans to continue the Aussie charge. He now sits in 6th, while O’Grady sits in hospital with 8 cracked ribs, a punctured lung and a shoulder fracture. Can Cadel do it? Can we do it? Will we all get fired before the riders reach Paris?

I think one of those brave motorcycle riders will be the winner. Have you watched how smoothly they ride. They do so many breakaways of their own but never go through with them (so that they don’t show up the poor velo riders).
One of them is always the outright leader even having the time and energy to video the other riders as they go!
My money is on the motorcyclist and pillion rider dressed from head to toe in yellow, who waves what looks like the menu board for the evening meal at the leading riders, to tempt them to put more effort into their ride!
