what’s zoe doing, then?
while Tom’s been doing shot-skis and galvanting around the countryside, I’ve been:
packing up the Upper Denham Street flat, suffering from the flu, working the school holiday program and other youthy things (including an outdoor State of Origin screening, in the freezing 16 degree C weather!!) filing 4.5 years worth of public sector work, having multiple leaving parties, prep-ing for my block uni course and looking formward to being an IT geek for a week, sorting out other uni stuff - but not a Sydney supervisor yet, having fun with Kiki2 who is graciously hosting me in my final weeks in the ville, trying to catch up with people before leaving town and generally not quite believing I’m actually leaving NEXT WEEK!
considered making a final trip to Maggie, as it is perfect maggie weather, and I will be working from Sunday through to Friday - then leaving town the next day - so today is really the last chance.. but decided instead to do some course prep and sort through some things. so I’m sitting at squires coffee using their free wireless and having a massive coffee. it’s Jess’s last day working here. she’s very happy. Jess and I were supposed to be starting honours together next month. I hope she does well, she’s got a really interesting topic, but you’ll have to wait for her to publish her thesis as papers 
so: I’ll be in Sydney on the 21st - just in time for some Tour de France! horray! also Joelle’s birthday. see you all at the Rocks Coffee Festival the next day - we’ll need it after watching the stage 13 live…

hi honey! well I’m out of the ville now, in cairns for a week, then in sydney I will be: having knee surgery, getting a job of some description (low work, mo money?) , starting honours next year… provided I can convince someone cool to take me on as a student!

I’m good, & Dave’s good too. We’re off to Florence and Tuscany for 9 days on Friday - yay! Meeting my parents and Joachin there, so a bit of a family holiday. Really looking forward to it. Also going to Paris for a long weekend in about a month. So can’t complain I guess…. Work ok, but yeah, getting out of London will be ace!
Anyways, I should write you an email or something, huh? One of these days… Give my love to Tom. Have a safe trip south! Lots of love, V xx
