This shot was taken by YLM on Michaelmas Cay in Far North Queensland. The Japanese couple were concentrating on the birds, while the gay sunbathers looked on. Apparently the wife took on the role of Photographic Assistant (with the backpack full of extra lenses), while he snapped away. Note his vest and the suitcase in the background - that’s for the long Canon lens. I just can’t help wondering what the dude with the big arms is saying…

“Stephen and Gary looked on, giggling in anticipation as the poor unsuspecting Japanese tourist became another victim of the old superglue on the viewfinder prank”

“…I have to make sure my muscular arms are photographed at the right angle, I only wish the astronomers moved out of the way a little bit”
Based on my observations, a wife is a basic item of the Japanese photographic equipment. Not only they’re super nice and carry all your stuff (as is evident in the pic), but they’re excellent to put on the foreground of their photos, for relative size comparison of buildings and other landmarks, for example.
