Today we got amongst the fish of the Nth Reserve (and the swans, terns, sandpipers, grebes etc.). Pretty cool stuff, but damn hot and tiring. Here’s a shot of the juvenile tern/s that were skimming on the lagoon. Prize to the first to guess which type/s.

Which type? Oh it’s gotta be either a juvenille Helvetica Tern or one of those common Times New Roman Tern’s.

Type wd be Wingdings, or Courier. But Pizzey&Knight have this very bird, Whiskered Tern juv, on P229 (my ed.).
