7 days until I hand in my little honours thesis. Going ok, still writing, still got lots of work to do, but it’s ok….. I just can’t wait for it to be done.

Things I will do once This Thing Is Handed In:
1. go to the beach. oh god, I want to be able to just go to the beach.
2. read a book… read a book, read a motherfucking book! (don’t follow the link if you found that offensive, and FYI NSFW - not safe for work!) yeah, I’m gonna read a book that has nothing to do with space, power or Callan Park)
3. do some elaborate cooking and baking and actually post on the puku. poor neglected puku.

I guess because I’m clocking in the hours and late nights, and it’s all a bit stressfulz, I’m a bit on the emotional side.

Things that have made me cry in the last few days:
1. the lady at the fish and chip shop kindly insisting on taking an order from people who walked in as she were wrapping the last order of the night (my fish burger), even though they had turned the sign lights off, and there were photos of their baby son taped to the register, who they probably wanted to go home and see
2. those Anthony-throat-and-lung-cancer-sufferer-who-doesn’t-live-long enough-to see-Alexandra-his-eldest daughter-visit-in-December ads. gets me every time. Yo, smokers: STOP SMOKING!
3. not being able to find the book I NEED on the library shelf. Don’t worry, it was on the sorting trolley and I got it several hours later!

don’t worry, I will be sane again in 8 days. and probably a little hungover.
